WHAT CHURCHES ARE PART OF THE MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE?

All the churches of Carrollton are invited to be an active part of the Ministerial Alliance, and most of them choose to be. Various churches are involved in various ways. WHAT IS H.E.L.P. SERVICES AND
HOW IS IT RELATED TO THE ALLIANCE?

H.E.L.P. Services of Carroll County was incorporated in November of 1995 and opened their doors to serve the needy of Carroll County on March 11, 1996. H.E.L.P. stands for Harmonized Efforts to Lessen Poverty. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We receive no government funding and are supported entirely by donations from individuals and groups in the local community. We are working together with Division of Family Services, Missouri Valley Community Action Agency, The Carrollton Ministerial Alliance and Red Cross in an effort to best meet the needs of the people in our community in hopes of eliminating duplicity of assistance. We have been able to provide a number of people with food, clothing, assistance with utility bills, household items after fires and school supplies.

We need donations of clothing, food, household items and cleaning and hygiene supplies. We also need ongoing monthly support to maintain our budget.  We continue to need people to help us haul recycling to Kansas City.

Dee Fergason is the director of H.E.L.P. Services.

H.E.L.P. Services also administers the H.E.L.P. Services Cancer Fund which provides Carroll County cancer patients with financial assistance, nutritional support, turbans, wigs, pillows and pads for seat belts.  For information about the Cancer Fund contact Dee Fergason at H.E.L.P. Services.
