Swearingin Bros. Farms, Inc. - Secretary/Treasurer
1969 to Present, Swearingin Bros. Farms, Inc.(incorporated
Feb. 1974), Carrollton, MO. (livestock and grain farm). Partner in management
and operation of 4000+ acres of row crops and 3000+ head of hogs produced
yearly. Directly responsible for all accounting including budgeting, profit/loss
analysis, corporate records, and occasional tractor or truck driver. Listed
in Farm Futures Top 100 for the past eight years. Production Manager is
brother Charles Swearingin. Swearingin Bros. Farms, Inc. was reorganized
in 2004 into two corporations, Swearingin Bros. Farms, Inc. and Swearingin
Enterprises, Inc.
Swearingin Enterprises, Inc. - President
Nov. 1979 to Present. Designed and patented
a concrete hog feeder (January 26, 1982; #4,312,298)
which was basis for start-up of company. Later designed new concrete hog
waterer, sow feeder, and totally concrete hog feeder. Hired and supervised
twelve employees and directed the establishment of over 100 dealers in
fifteen states. Wrote computer software to track plant employees production
and maintain inventory status. Designed and received patent (April 2, 1985;
#4,508,061)
for nipple hog feeder which places feed directly into the mouth of a hog
and is controlled and monitored by a computer. The concrete business was
sold in 1984. Swearingin Enterprises, Inc. was formed from the reorganization
of Swearingin Bros. Farms, Inc. and the subsequent merger with Swearingin
Industries, Inc.in 2004.
Prairie Pride, Inc. - Director
Sept. 2005 to Present. Prairie Pride, Inc., is a New Generation Coop that raised over $37 million of
investor equity to build a $89 million soybean oil extraction and biodiesel refinery plant near Deerfield, MO
that will process 21 million bushels of soybeans and produce 30 million gallons of biodiesel each year. Construction is scheduled to begin in June, 2006.
Mid-Missouri Energy, Inc. - Director
Sept. 2002 to Present. Founding member
of steering committee that later became Mid-Missouri
Energy, Inc., a New Generation Coop that raised over $22 million of
investor equity to build a $60 million ethanol plant in Malta Bend, MO
that produces over 40 million gallons of ethanol each year.
Missouri Farm Bureau Federation - Director
Dec. 1981 to Dec. 1990. Served on Board
of Directors of MFBF and affiliated
companies, which include MFB Life Insurance, with over $1 Billion of insurance
in force, and MFB Town & Country Insurance, a major property and casualty
company in Missouri. Represented fifteen counties in north central Missouri.
