The Society maintains a seasonal opening at the Museum, which will be from May to September. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday of each week from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.The Historical Society offers for sale, ten (10) reprinted history books:

1896 ATLAS OF CARROLL COUNTY.Shows the plat maps of each county township, Portraits of landowners with surnames, State, National and World Maps for the time period, Indexes of Missouri Counties, Reference directory (includes length of time of residence in county, ownership of famland by township/section, year landowner arrived in County, landowners occupation and Postoffice of residence). The currant goals of the Society are to maintain, and improve the Museum. To provide the opportunity for it's many visitors to enjoy the exhibits, and for the children of today and tomorrow, to gain a better understanding of the life of their forefathers, than they could in any other way, as they actually see the genuine items of their life displayed in a setting just as it was then.1876 Atlas of Carroll County. Shows the plats, and owner of all farmland in the County, the plats of the towns, about 70 biographical sketches of early citizens, and 50 artists drawings of prominent farmsteads, before the time of photography. Also for sale by the Historical Society:1882 History of Carroll County. Earliest history of the County, townships, including the Mormon War, the most prominent criminal trails, a list of Union/Confederate Soldiers, and almost 500 biographical sketches of early settlers. INDEX available (see below)
1911 Vol. 1. History of Carroll County. Natural features of Carroll County, Indian Occupancy, Territory acquired by the Wite Race, Pioneers and Early Conditions, Townships, County Officers, County Government, Courthouses. The Military History of the County, The Bench and Bar, Newspapers, Educational Development, Miscellaneous Events, Recollections of Early Day Physicians, and many incidents and happenings. 1911 Vol. 2 History of Carroll County. Contains a biographical section profiling over 300 families. INDEX available (see below)
1968 Early Business History of Carroll County. and Carroll County update, Pictures of Carroll County Veterans. Pictures and sketches of many families of the County.
1973 History of Carroll County. and update from the 1968 book.
1976 Miscellaneous History and Bicentennial Events.
The Historic Carroll County Afghan, 48"x60" inches, featuring favorite landmarks of Carroll County, and offered exclusively by the Historical Society, with views of:
Mandeville Store, built in 1870 by Mitchell and Wolf Block
Wakenda School, built in 1933 after fire destroyed older one.
Tina Presbyterian Church, first erected in 1888.
Norborne Citizens Bank, history goes back to August 3, 1895.
Bosworth Round Barn, famous landmark built in 1915.
Hale School, built in 1917, and still in use.
Carroll County Court House, completed in 1904, for $51,600.
Coloma Baptist Church, completed in 1876.
Bogard School, first built in 1885, and rebuilt in 1915.
The DeWitt Hotel, built when Steamboats landed at DeWitt.Custom Designed Tapestry Pillow, with a view of the Carrollton Jail, built in 1878, and the Carrollton Water Tower, built in 1924. These were inspired by the removal of the water tower in 1997. They are available in Navy Blue, or Cranberry Red cotton twill.
