It is time to be thinking about fall CCD classes.  There are sign-up sheets on the table in back of church.  Parents, your child is automatically signed up if they were in CCD last year.  Please make sure their name is spelled correctly and we have their correct age on the sign-up sheets.  You may initial beside your child’s name on the sheet and this will let us know that you intend to enroll them again this year and that all information about your child is correct.  Thank you.  There is also a sign-up sheet for teachers to volunteer to teach/aide or substitute for a teacher.

St. Mary’s Parish Council will meet Wednesday evening, July 29, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.  Please note this is a date change.

Please remember that if you have items for the bulletin the information must be in to the Parish Office by noon on Mondays.  Thank you.

Wednesday night Mass will be moved to Tally Hall at St. Mary’s during the summer months.

The annual servers picnic at Conception Abbey will be Wednesday and Thursday, July 8 and 9, 2009.  This event is for servers who have served 10 or more times during the period from July 1 to June 30.  We will leave from St. Mary’s parking lot on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and from Sacred Heart Church at 8:15 a.m.  Parents, please remember to complete the General Release of Liability form and Facility Use Agreement for your child.  Also, please have a copy of your medical insurance card with these forms.  These forms must accompany each one going to Conception Abbey.

Please remember when you can not serve as a Mass Assistant on the day you have been scheduled, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place.  Thank you!

If you have items of interest for the bulletin or would like a Mass said, please call the Parish Office with your need instead of telling Fr. or Cheryl in other places besides church or the Parish Office.  If that is not handy for you, please give them your request in writing so that it will not be forgotten when they return to the Parish Office.  If you have money, please put it in an envelope and designate what it is for.  Thank you.

On the Lighter Side...

PRAYER:  One Sunday in a Midwest City, a young child was “acting up” during the morning worship hour.  The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle.  Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out.  Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, “Pray for me!  Pray for me!”
